Specializing in green real estate allows me to combine my profession with my passion. As an avid cyclist, mountain biker, skier and mom, I believe that protecting our environment and reducing the impact we have on the planet is of utmost importance. I also believe that we can achieve that while saving money, living better and being comfortable. Choosing to live green has benefits that range from lowering your bills to lowering your emissions - and regardless of which is more important to you, they are both good results.

One of the most exciting aspects of Pittsburgh is the growing momentum focused on green building. Over 5 million square feet of green development has been completed or is underway in the region, more than anywhere else in the country. While most of this has been focused on the commercial sector, I want to help make it a reality in the residential sector as well.

Prior to joining RE/MAX Select Realty, I spent 15 years in the marketing and technology industries, including a position as President of a tech start-up that developed mobile phone applications for real estate, travel and education. This experience peaked my interested in how new technology can help bring buyers and sellers together. I now use these skills to market and sell homes in the Pittsburgh area. I work to differentiate your home, package it to meet a buyer's needs and use both traditional and innovative tools to reach those buyer's who are looking for their next home.

Aside from a few years in Ohio and Washington, D.C., I have always called Pittsburgh my home. Since I have lived in the north, south, east and west of town, and worked downtown, I can give my clients a good perspective on the best places to live in the area.

I am driven to be a knowledgeable and valuable resource for my clients. As more individuals look for healthier, less expensive, more comfortable, more sustainable options, it is my job to help them achieve their "green" goals. That is the reason I chose to invest in becoming a certified Ecosociate™ by EcoBroker® International and a RE/MAX Green Specialist. Ecosociates™ complete a comprehensive energy and environmental curriculum on topics such as energy-efficient windows, insulation and appliances; indoor air quality; solar technologies; environmental and health issues; and green building programs.
